RPW data status

Latest news (if any)

Due to on-going investigations on antenna 3 (MY) failure, release of RPW science data after November 13, 2023 is temporary suspended.

Known issues with data

  • Issue with HFR L1 data time stamping has been raised since Dec. 2023. It might concern only few dates over the full mission (determination of HFR survey data files impacted is on-going). Root cause has been identified. New set of HFR CDF files will be released asap.
  • EM contaminations identifed by the RPW Team in data is listed in https://confluence-lesia.obspm.fr/display/ROC/RPW+In-Flight+EMC+Characterization

RPW data availability policy

RPW science data product availability at ESAC

RPW science data are delivered to Solar Orbiter Archive (SOAR) at ESAC on daily basis. Criteria for delivery are:

  • Only data older than 90 days are delivered
  • Any new version of re-processed data are sent without latency
  • Commissioning data (i.e., before June 2020) are not publicly released

  • Drop menu on the upper-left corner can be used to select the dataset to view
  • Data file can be downloaded by clicking on the requested day
  • Calendar is refreshed every 4h
